Passenger FAQs
Find quick answers about bookings, baggage, check-in, charters, and safari flights.
Baggage
Pack for the aircraft and the journey.
Baggage space is limited, especially on flights serving safari airstrips. Staying within the allowance helps protect the aircraft load plan and keeps departures running smoothly.
20 kg total allowance
Standard allowance: 20 kg per passenger, including hand luggage, cameras and personal items. Lap infants have no separate baggage allowance.
Bag size and type
Maximum dimensions per bag: 90 x 65 x 35 cm. Suitcases are accepted; soft-sided bags are recommended. Avoid sharp edges that could damage aircraft baggage pods.
Use soft-sided luggage
Soft bags are strongly recommended for safari flights because they fit more safely into the limited baggage compartments of light aircraft.
Arrange excess baggage early
Pre-book excess baggage in 10 kg blocks: USD 30 on coast routes or USD 60 on safari/bush routes, up to 40 kg extra per passenger. Carriage remains subject to payload, space and the Captain's discretion; confirm the route-specific charge before paying.
Check-in and Boarding
Arrive early and keep your documents ready.
Online check-in is available from 24 hours until 2 hours before scheduled departure for eligible bookings. Bring your passport or national photo ID for airport verification. Follow the reporting time on your booking and allow time for document checks, baggage and security. Counter closing times are deadlines, not recommended arrival times. Confirm any missing reporting instructions with reservations before travel.
Airport departures
Published general counter deadline: 20 minutes before departure at major airports. Follow any earlier deadline communicated for your flight.
Airstrip departures
Published general counter deadline: 15 minutes before departure at bush strips and other airstrips. Follow any earlier deadline communicated for your flight.
Bring valid identification
Passenger names must match the booking. Carry a valid national ID or passport, your booking confirmation, and any documents required for your destination.
Check In OnlineFlight Times and Airstrips
Plan around the realities of regional flying.
Weather, airstrip conditions, aircraft routing, and operational requirements can affect flight times. Reconfirm your arrangements and keep enough time between flights, road transfers, and lodge activities.
Confirm the exact airport, terminal, or safari airstrip shown on your booking.
Keep your phone number and email current so operational updates can reach you.
Allow time for transfers between lodges, hotels, airports, and remote airstrips.
Expect some safari services to include intermediate stops for other passengers.
Travel Documents
Check every passenger before departure.
Make sure each passenger name matches the identification used for travel. Name corrections may require assistance before check-in.
Passengers are responsible for valid passports, visas, permits, vaccination records, and other entry or health documents required by their destination.
Keep all essential documents and medication with you rather than in checked baggage.
